Limestone conveying processes commonly suffer from severe wear, dust spillage, material return blockage, particle breakage, and insufficient stability over long distances. Especially when the limestone particle size is large or the conveying volume continuously increases, ordinary belt conveyors are prone to slippage, deviation, and frequent maintenance, directly impacting production efficiency. The TH Chain Bucket Elevator for Limestone effectively reduces bucket impact and material backflow through a high-strength circular chain drive and inflow loading method. It also features thickened wear-resistant buckets and a closed casing design to reduce dust leakage and extend equipment life. It can achieve a maximum lifting height of approximately 60m, with a conveying capacity ranging from 20–365m³/h, and can continuously convey limestone materials with a particle size ≤85mm. Depending on site conditions, optional configurations such as wear-resistant liners, inspection doors, automatic tensioning devices, backstops, material level detection, frequency converters, explosion-proof motors, and stainless steel receiving sections can be added to improve overall line automation and operational reliability.

The TH Chain Bucket Elevator for Limestone is optimized for limestone conveying applications across six dimensions: wear resistance, capacity, stability, environmental friendliness, lifespan, and adaptability. Its high-strength chain and wear-resistant buckets effectively resist long-term erosion from limestone, extending the overall lifespan of the equipment. The continuous operation structure supports a wide conveying capacity of 20–365 m³/h, meeting the needs of large-scale production. The optimized bucket arrangement significantly reduces spillage and return, ensuring smooth and efficient vertical lifting. The fully enclosed sealing design suppresses dust leakage at the source, improving the working environment. Meanwhile, wear-resistant upgrades to key components reduce maintenance frequency and unplanned downtime. Flexible customization options, such as carbon steel/stainless steel materials, wear-resistant liners, explosion-proof motors, and automatic tensioning systems, allow it to adapt to different working conditions and safety requirements.

When the TH Chain Bucket Elevator is in operation, limestone enters the equipment through the bottom inlet, and the buckets are sequentially picked up and lifted by the chain drive. As the chain moves upwards along the enclosed casing, limestone is steadily conveyed to the top area, where it is rapidly unloaded under the combined action of centrifugal force and gravity, and then enters subsequent hoppers, conveyors, or processing equipment. The empty hopper continues its return journey to the bottom, forming a cyclical operation. This method avoids the problems of long-distance horizontal arrangement of traditional conveying equipment and reduces losses caused by repeated material transfers. For limestone production lines, the TH structure enables continuous, efficient, and low-breakage vertical conveying while maintaining stable output.

The TH Chain Bucket Elevator is widely used throughout the entire limestone processing process. In mining crushing production lines, it can elevate raw ore to screening and storage systems; in lime calcination projects, it can continuously transport crushed limestone to the rotary kiln feeding end; in cement plants, it can complete the vertical conveying and storage/transfer of limestone raw materials; in the desulfurization industry, it can be used for continuous limestone powder feeding; in the building aggregate industry, it can be integrated with crushing, screening, and packaging systems to form an automated production line.

A limestone processing project used the TH500 Chain Bucket Elevator for Limestone to elevate crushed limestone. The material particle size was 0–60mm, the conveying capacity was 120t/h, and the lifting height was 28m. After the project was put into operation, it achieved continuous and stable conveying, reducing multiple material dropping steps compared to the original transfer method, effectively reducing dust diffusion and equipment wear. The equipment is equipped with wear-resistant buckets, an automatic tensioning system, and a frequency converter, enabling continuous production around the clock and significantly reducing maintenance frequency and downtime, thus supporting customers in improving overall production line efficiency.

Q: Can it handle wet limestone with high moisture content?
A: Yes. By adopting measures such as widening the bucket, increasing the discharge port, installing a guide plate at the tail section, and adding a vibrator to the shell (optional), it can convey wet limestone with a surface moisture content of less than 8%. However, it is still recommended to control the material moisture content to within 5% to ensure efficiency.
Q: What is the standard conveying capacity range of the TH type limestone elevator?
A: Standard models TH315 to TH630 have conveying capacities from 35 m³/h to 185 m³/h, which can meet the needs of most limestone processing lines. For higher flow rates, double rows or multiple units in parallel can be arranged.
Q: What size limestone particles can it convey? A: Depending on the model, the maximum material particle size that the TH chain bucket elevator can convey ranges from 15-20mm to 60mm. For example, the TH160 has a maximum particle size of 15-20mm, the TH250 25-35mm, the TH400 40-55mm, and the TH630 60mm. The feed inlet width must be 2-3 times larger than the maximum particle size of the material to prevent jamming.
Q: What type of bucket should be used when conveying limestone?
A: We recommend the SH type (deep bucket). The SH type deep bucket is designed for conveying dry, loose, and easily thrown materials. It has a high filling rate and clean discharge, making it very suitable for conveying limestone, gravel, coal, and other materials. If the limestone being conveyed has a high moisture content or is slightly sticky, we suggest using the ZH type (medium-deep bucket). Its bucket opening is inclined, which is more conducive to material throwing and prevents it from adhering to the bucket wall.
